"To Trust Oneself In The Dance With The Horse Is To Touch The Infinite"
( Shari A. Rosati)

We, here at Wildrose Horse Farm have over 50 years of experience combined. We offer "Healing With Horses" Therapeutic Riding, Dressage, English or Western riding lessons including Yoga on horseback and general horse care. Safety is our priority as we bring the New World of Horsemanship to YOU. We are about EMOTIONAL and SPIRITUAL HEALING including RECOVERY of any kind.

We teach people of all ages to learn how to ride and bond with your horse, starting from grooming and tacking. We offer different lesson packages up to a one hour lessons and "GIFT CERTIFICATES" for any occasion. We work with a team of Doctors and Nurses who have an equine background.

We have three great lesson horses and two new additions started under saddle. All the horses are very calm and good with children, beginners and/or experienced riders. Our horses are called Domino, Pegasus, Doc, Toby and Twister.

Therapeutic riding? - Who would benefit from this? People with phychological, cognitive, autism, emotional and social disabilities may use equine assisted activities adapted as needed - as a recreational, educational and leisure experience. The emphasis is on an enjoyable and relaxing experience that provides additional therapeutic benefits in the areas of socialization, posture, mobility, and an overall improved quality of life. Individuals may participate in horse-related activities to their maximum ability in an atmosphere of support, structure, and socialization for the primary purpose of the intrinsic enjoyment of the activity. We are also working with the local schools and families of children with disabilities. We have also extended ourselves for people in need of therapudic riding and recovery's of all types. Our Programs can be used for; cancer, communication skills, family counseling, ADD, ADHD, depression, PTSD, TBI, emotional general mental health, recovery of any kind, creating a bond, mentoring, detachment disorder, equine yoga, tutoring, relaxation, dressage and basic riding lessons.

Equine Therapy? - Healing with Horses is the centerpiece of the services offered here at Wildrose Horse Farm. The gentle, four-legged staff members are remarkably intuitive. These social animals can sense surface uncertainty as well as deep-seated emotional distress. In effect, they hold up a mirror in which clients can view themselves. The two-legged staff members then translate and help the clients apply short and long-term changes to find balanced, more fulfilling lives.

Healing with Horses helps to:
- Boost confidence and self-esteem
- Develop personal accountability
- Develop trust, patience and responsibiliity
- Enhance listening and communications skiills
- Reinforce relationships
- Strengthen emotional control and self-diiscipline
Mirrors That Reflect Our Souls

There is enough evidence to suggest that some of the most insightful therapists eat hay. For decades, a branch of healing known under various names - like Equine Assisted PsychoTherapy and Equine Self Growth - has helped troubled, temporarily lost and traumatized children and adults find a sense of well-being, personal balance and even happiness. Because horses are considered to be empathic it makes it easier for the horse to interact with the student has the ability to read the emotions of the student. Their calming effect and including the ability to be non - judmental makes the bond between horse and rider a whole energy. What we call here at the farm "One With Horse".

Working with the horses in equine therapy at WildRose can break down defensive barriers that have built up over years. As they convey new understandings to the riders that can lead to emotional, physical, mental and spiritual awakenings. In many ways, the Spirit of WildRose rides on the backs - and in the souls - of the horses. Practicum hours take place during our regular therapeutic riding program. Course participants work with a wide variety of riders and receive hands-on experience in group and individual therapeutic riding classes.

We also have programs to help families of children with emotional disabilies including therapeutic riding. Contact Lee A Terry, event co-ordinator with any questions. We wish to educate the community about "Healing With Horses"!
